Trauma
Trauma is not a fixed event in time, but rather the emotional impact that traumatic event made on you. There is no altering the traumatic event. That is done, and can not be undone, but we can heal the emotional wounds that the traumatic event left behind.
A Traumatic event is like an avalanche in our minds and the emotional response are the first set of tracks laid in its wake. These will be the same tracks you follow automatically when triggered or exposed a stimulus which resurfaces the feelings associated with the trauma.
Together we will create new pathways and new connections surrounding that traumatic event in your life by creating new meaning. We will begin to slowly heal the wounds of time by cognitively reframing the trauma and finding a sense of purpose, service and safety.
