Anxiety
Anxiety has to be uncomfortable to get our attention!! Sometimes the fight, flight, freeze response is our brains way of protecting us, but other times it is a false alarm. How can we discern the difference? Together we will learn how to listen to our anxiety so we can tame the habit loop of worry.
Anxiety has sometimes been called intuition, but worry can feel like suffering. Together we will learn how to create space between stimulus and response so we can chose the response that best suits you and your needs.
Worry is separate from Anxiety. Worry is our attempt to control the uncontrollable. If we worry long enough or hard enough we will be able to control the outcome of our circumstances. Worry makes your clench and tense up creating pressure on your nervous system and overstimulating your immune system and endocrine system.
Anxiety is our frontal cortex reacting to a lack of information in order to protect a safe future. It is our brains way of preparing us, protecting us, caring about things. This is something to listen to and act accordingly.
Together we will learn how to tame the mind from worry and listen to our intuition with trust and respect.
